2013 Round Up

It's been another busy and brilliant year over in the Full Thought camp. 2013 has seen us sign a bunch of talented, unique and gifted artists including Ty, Harleighblu, Peshay, Youngblood Brass BandJo HarmanMark Professor/Rongorock, Lost Midas, Renegade Brass Band, Titeknots, Dizz1, Werkha, Kalbata and we've also signed the rights to The London Posse's seminal Gangsta Chronicles album.

Alongside all the new music we've signed we've been securing some high profile syncs for a number of artists on the roster. Alice Russell's new album 'To Dust' has been garnering heaps of attention, in the last year Alice's tracks have been synced to US shows such as Blacklist (twice!), The Client List, Switched At Birth, Mixology and Ray Donovan. Not only was this great for Alice's US profile, but it also produced a huge spike in sales for the music.

Quantic and the Hot 8 Brass Band featured heavily in the BBC's coverage of the Confederations Cup Final, which was viewed by massive 3.5 million people in the UK alone. Flevans secured an extended sync with UK DFS adverts on both TV and radio, and Belleruche took their music to new territories with a slick advert for Hyundai in South Korea.

It's great to see our artists being recognised for their music, recently The Hot 8 Brass Band were nominated for their first Grammy in the 'Best Regional Roots Music Album' category, for their album 'The Life and Times Of...'. Jo Harman has had an extremely busy year and to top it off she's been  named Breakout Artist of the Year by the highstreet magazine Classic Rock & Blues, her album also received acclaim from various other publications:  ★★★★ - The Mirror, "Stunning…our tip for 2013" - The Blues Magazine (9 out of 10) and "A must hear album" - Jazz FM. Wrongtom's imprint also go into the end of year lists with Mark Professor's excellent track 'Oystah Card' landing 4th place in MOJO magazine top tracks of the year (alongside Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys, Disclosure and David Bowe!).

Also, we recently launched our new website, so pop on over and marvel at the swish new layout: http://www.fullthought.co.uk/

2014 looks set to be another stellar year, with new music and releases from Quantic, Nostalgia 77, Wrongtom, Lost Midas, Lanu, Ty, Werkha and Dizz1. We've also got a joint 15th birthday to celebrate with Tru Thoughts, so pop down to London's Koko in February and have a party with us (http://www.soundcrashmusic.com/tru-thoughts-15th-birthday/).

As always, drop us an email if you have an inquiries about the catalogue or would like to use one of our tracks.

We hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.
