Alice Russell's 'Breakdown' features on the Mad Men Season Seven Trailer

Mad Men Season Seven is hitting our screens for a final series on April 13th and AMC TV has chosen Full Thought’s Alice Russell and her excellent track ‘Breakdown’ for their new trailer. The trailer will initially run for a six week period across North American cable networks and worldwide through internet-based digital platforms with 60 second, 30 second and 5 second bumper spot versions.  

A version of ‘Breakdown’ features on the much loved soul and blues singer-songwriters 5th studio album ‘To Dust’ which was released last February via Tru Thoughts Records. ‘To Dust’ was the first solo appearance from Alice Russell since 2008’s acclaimed ‘Pot of Gold’ marking the next step in a remarkable career which has seen this down-to-earth, diminutive Brit universally acknowledged as one of the best soul voices of our time. It is no wonder she has attracted worldwide media support, and fans as diverse as Gilles PetersonJamie CullumDennis Coffey, Massive Attack’s Daddy G and Groove Armada

Full Thought Publishing and Shogun Audio join forces


Full Thought are delighted to announce a major new publishing deal with the electronic music imprint Shogun Audio. The deal will see Shogun Audio’s entire catalogue being managed by Full Thought Publishing, part of Tru Thoughts Records. The deal will see some of the most successful artists in drum & bass today sitting alongside the esteemed company of Alice Russell, Bonobo, Quantic, Hot 8 Brass Band and many more.

Owned by Friction (BBC Radio 1) and Keir Tyrer, Shogun Audio is the 10 year old drum & bass label that has repeatedly broken some of the most exciting acts in D&B and electronica. The deal includes some 700 copyrights across multiple genres from Shogun’s exclusive entourage including Rockwell, Icicle, Technimatic, Alix Perez, Spectrasoul, Joe Ford, Fourward, Neuropol, K-Tee and of course Friction.

The Bamboos to provide soundtrack for River Island's 2014 Spring / Summer Collection


The Bamboo’s track, ‘Helpless Blues’ has been chosen by the high street fashion brand River Island for their advertising campaign to celebrate the release of their 2014 Spring/Summer clothing collection. The 40 second advert will screen in cinemas across Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and South Africa as well as being used around the globe online.
‘Helpless Blues’ features on The Bamboo’s recently released sixth studio album, ‘Fever in the Road’.  The new album showcases a slight change in direction for the band and introduces a leaner and more muscular sound with an aural complexity and depth alluded to in the past but never fully explored, until now.
In recent years The Bamboo’s music has have been featured in a number of films and adverts with music licenced to ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ and ‘Adore’ in addition to popular TV shows such as ‘Grey’s Anatomy’,CSI New York’, ‘One Tree Hill’ and ‘Ugly Betty’.

Lost Midas’ Love Undone on ‘House of Lies’



Lost Midas’ hypnotic track ‘Love Undone featuring Taylor O’Donnell’ was featured in the latest episode of the hit US TV series, ‘House of Lies’. You can catch the track in ‘Middlegame’ - Season 3, Episode 6, of the critically acclaimed TV Drama starring Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle.

The series focuses on a self-loathing management consultant from a top-tier firm. Marty, a highly successful, cutthroat consultant is never above using any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information they want. The program is aired and can be watched back on US broadcasters, Showtime.

Lost Midas’ track features on his first EP signed to Tru Thoughts Records, ‘Memory Flux’ which was released in September last year, shortly followed by the ‘Hyper Phase’ EP in November. ‘Love Undone’ gained heaps of attention including tastemakers from Clash magazine, Radio 1 and BBC 6Music.
