Hot 8 Brass Band were pipped to the post last night at the
Grammy Awards, with the band coming second in the Regional Roots Category. We
have always been extremely proud to work with this sensational New Orleans
ensemble, and the fact we can now officially call them the Grammy-Nominated Hot
8 Brass Band is something that we will enjoy immensely! The Hot 8 are partying
in LA as we speak, and you never know what amazing collaboration or tour will
spring up from the festivities (previous hook-ups have included Mos Def, Lauryn
Hill and many more) so watch this space for the next instalment of news in the
Hot 8 story, and in the meantime why not immerse yourself in the album that
gained them the nomination, “The Life & Times Of…”, as well as the sister
album, “Tombstone”, to see just what all the fuss is about.
