Full Thought Publishing and Shogun Audio join forces

Full Thought are delighted to announce a major new publishing deal with the electronic music imprint Shogun Audio. The deal will see Shogun Audio’s entire catalogue being managed by Full Thought Publishing, part of Tru Thoughts Records. The deal will see some of the most successful artists in drum & bass today sitting alongside the esteemed company of Alice Russell, Bonobo, Quantic, Hot 8 Brass Band and many more.

Owned by Friction (BBC Radio 1) and Keir Tyrer, Shogun Audio is the 10 year old drum & bass label that has repeatedly broken some of the most exciting acts in D&B and electronica. The deal includes some 700 copyrights across multiple genres from Shogun’s exclusive entourage including Rockwell, Icicle, Technimatic, Alix Perez, Spectrasoul, Joe Ford, Fourward, Neuropol, K-Tee and of course Friction.

Rob Luis from Full Thought Publishing and A&R/co-owner of Tru Thoughts said, “Having been playing their records for a number of years I am really excited to be working with the SA catalogue in a more pro-active way. Although known by many for their D&B releases their artists make and create all styles of music with an emphasis on forward thinking beats, basslines and production. Having heard some of their forthcoming releases it’s very exciting to be able to help push their music to all new audiences around the world.”

Keir Tyrer, co-owner of Shogun Audio went on to say, “We’re delighted to announce the new partnership with Full Thought publishing who have a proven track record and network that will enable us to connect with a global audience. Having worked with Rob Louis and the team over the last few years I’m confident that they fully understand our vision and ambition and I’m looking forward to opening new opportunities not only for sync but across creative and production capacities for all of our artists”.
